We're very happy to announce that Pink Dot Okinawa 2014 is to be held on 20th July. Looking forward to meeting a lot of people not only from Okinawa islands but from other areas in Japan or other countries!

We held Pink Dot Okinawa for the first time last year, and made a success as the first pride event in Okinawa and the first Pink Dot in Japan (Pink Dot is an unique pride event which Singapore LGBT communities started).

Last year Naha-city became co-organizer (though only nominally) of Pink Dot Okinawa and Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau gave nominal support. Such supports are very rare in Japan. One of our sponsors, Hotel Palm Royal Naha, gave a ad with a phrase "Gay Friendly Hotel." I suppose it's the first case of such a hotel announcing that publicly. We'd be glad if you would be interested in Pink Dot OK.

（English fllows) 琉球新報と沖縄タイムスに、レインボーアライアンス沖縄（代表：砂川秀樹）による「レインボーフラッグプロジェクト」についての記事が掲載されました。このプロジェクトは主に対人支援などをおこなっているグループや組織へのLGBTに関する出前講座や、LGBTとそのまわりの人向けの相談（電話、メール、面談）等が含まれるものです。出前講座（１時間半〜２時間）は那覇市内に拠点を持つところが対象ですが、希望がありましたら、お知らせください。無料です。

Ryukyu shimpo and Okinawa Times, local two major newspapers in Okinawa, had articles on "Rainbow Flag Project" by Rainbow Alliance Okinawa whose representative director is me. The project includes lectures about LGBT to staff members of groups or organizations supporting people in some areas, and counseling by telephone, e-mail and face-to-face for LGBT and people around them. We are going to be very busy!

12月1日、レインボーアライアンス沖縄がGRADiで開催した「エイズデーの集い」が、沖縄タイムスの記事になりました。

この集まりでは、HIV陽性者やまわりの人、コミュニティワーカーのインタビューを中心とした取材がされた番組の録画を観て、その後、ぷれいす東京代表の生島嗣さん、HIV陽性であることをオープンにしている佐藤郁夫さんとスカイプを通じて話をしました。

ぷれいす東京は、HIV陽性者や周りの人をサポートしているCBO (community based organization) です。

参加者は、番組や対話を通して、とても影響を受けたようでした。

Okinawa Times had an article about "Gathering for AIDS Day" which Rainbow Alliance Okinawa held in GRADi on 1st Dec.

In this gathering we watched a VTR which included interviews and reports of HIV positive people, those around them and community workers in Japan. After that, we talked through Skype with Yuzuru Ikushima who is representative director of PLACE Tokyo and Ikuo Sato who is openly HIV positive gay and a staff member of PLACE Tokyo.

PLACE Tokyo is a community based organization supporting for HIV positive people and those around them.

Every participants seemed to be touched and influenced deeply by the VTR and the talks with them.

首里公民館で、11月13日（水）からLGBTに関する考える４回連続の講座が開催されています。２回目〜４回目は、ピンクドット沖縄共同代表／レインボーアライアンス沖縄代表の砂川が担当しています。

レインボーアライアンス沖縄の事業に、「LUSH JAPAN チャリティバンク」の助成金をいただけることが決まりました。

「LUSH JAPAN チャリティバンク」は、これまでも数々のLGBT関連のプログラム／プロジェクトを支援してきた、日本では数少ないLGBTサポーティブな助成金の一つです。とてもありがたいことです。

今回、レインボーアライアンス沖縄がいただいた事業名は「LGBTサポートプロジェクト」。以下の二つの内容からなっています。

a. LGBTを対象とした個別相談（面談、電話、メール）の実施とニーズ把握
b. 支援職を対象としたLGBTサポート研修

a.では、準備期間を経た後、協力者である専門職（臨床心理士やソーシャルワーカー）と定期的にケースカンファランスをおこないながら進めていきます。b. では、沖縄県内のスクールカウンセラーなどの心理職、ソーシャルワーカーなどの支援職の人を対象に４コマからなる研修をおこないます。

この事業を含めたレインボーアライアンス沖縄の福祉啓発プログラムを、来月にでも沖縄県のマスメディアに向けて発表したいと考えています。

LUSH JAPAN Charity Bank has decided to fund a project of Rainbow Alliance Okinawa.

They have funded to some LGBT groups so far, which shows that they are one of a small number of LGBT supportive funds in Japan. We really appreciate for that.

Our project funded by them is "LGBT Support Project" which are consist of

a. counseling (by meeting, phone, e-mail) and needs assessment through it
b. training about LGBT for counselors and social workers.

We are going to distribute information to mass media in Okinawa, about our whole LGBT social support program including this project funded by LUSH JAPAN charity bank.
